Outlook Main Areas

There are a number of areas for Microsoft Outlook. Four of the more common areas to use are the "Inbox, Calendar, Contacts, and Tasks." Inbox is the area that allows you to read, send and organize email. Calendar is the area where you can set appointments such as a job you need to do, a project deadline, a doctor visit, and even a meeting. You can invite others to a Calendar appointment for meetings, group work on a project, or other tasks. Contacts is the area where you put in all of your family, friends, teachers, fellow workers, and others. You can make groups of Contacts such as "Family, Friends, Teachers," and others. Tasks is like a grocery list, or a "to do" type of list. You can make this area simple, or complex. You can assign tasks to others such as a group project, report, or other task.

Moving quickly through the main areas of Outlook is critical to efficient use of time. Following are the basic key commands for moving through "Inbox, Calendar, Contacts and Tasks," quickly.
